Strawberry and rhubarb pie

Ingredients :
For the filling:
  • 4 cups sliced rhubarb (slice the red/pinkish part between the leaves and roots)
  • 2 cups hulled and sliced strawberries
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 crusts
  • 1 egg
Substitutions :
  • Any in-season fruits: rasberries, bluberries, cranberries
Preparation :
  1. Preheat oven to 375F
  2. Mix all ingredients well (except egg) until dry ingredients appear to have melted
  3. Pour filling into crust
  4. Top with second crust and brush with egg
  5. Bake for 10 min and lower temperature to 350F. Bake for 35-40 min
